Today we are happy to welcome Kinnevik (https://www.kinnevik.com/) as co-owners in Joint Academy (www.jointacademy.com) the leading global digital treatment of osteoarthritis. Since being founded in Malmö, Sweden, in 2014, Joint Academy has treated 25,000 patients who suffer from chronic hip and knee pain by connecting them with licensed physical therapists through its app.
The Kinnevik team is entrepreneurial and long term and have been part of journeys such as Livongo (https://www2.livongo.com/) and Babylon Health (https://www.babylonhealth.com/), which are both relevant to Joint Academy's future journey. We at A&D continue to invest more money in the company alongside Kinnevik. We first invested in Joint Academy in 2018 and have seen fantastic development during the last two years. Our digital treatment is already widespread in Sweden and, with the help of Kinnevik, we will now seek to expand our offering internationally.
