Today we are happy to announce our partnership with VEQ, a newly formed Stockholm based venture capital investor with the vision to be a long-term backer of entrepreneurs in early-stage digital technology companies.
VEQ was founded by the digital consulting company and sweat equity investor VNTRS. An important differentiating factor is that VEQ, through close cooperation with VNTRS, will have access to extensive knowledge and hands-on experts such as developers, designers, and growth hackers, to help VEQ’s investee companies accelerate their growth.
We at A&D have been looking for a way to support more companies in early stages and we are now very excited to be able to do that through our partnership with VEQ. We have been very impressed by VNTRS and the selection of companies they have invested in with sweat equity. They have built a company with an attractive culture, sound values and a true desire to help entrepreneurs succeed.
VEQ has been inspired by us at A&D when they set-up their investment structure, which means that they too have a long-term structure with no fees and highly aligned interests between the investors, the team and the entrepreneurs they will back. This means they will be able to contribute and remain a long term active owner for as long as it makes sense for the company and VEQ. The initial plan is to invest 300 kEUR to 1 mEUR each in about a dozen start-ups over the next couple of years, with focus on companies from the Nordics and the Baltics.”
VEQ is led by Viktor Gällström together with Maria Bergsten, our former colleague, so it is makes us extra happy to welcome back Maria to the extended A&D family. Måns Alfvén will join the company’s Investment Committee.
